“When my husband and I decided on a destination wedding outside of Brazil, in Punta del Este, we did not imagine that our wedding day would be so special, but at the same time that it would be so work-intensive. One of the major difficulties in the process was not to know the local culture well enough. Sometimes, I could not even understand what suppliers were trying to explain, because their way of doing an event is so different from Brazil, where the industry is very sophisticated and we have numerous options to choose from. In Punta del Este, I had to find everything on my own, oftentimes taking decisions based only on the recommendations from hotels, magazines or the internet. And, during a long time, I did all of that by myself, having to travel two or three times to Uruguay. Everything changed when I met Monica Hirsch, a Brazilian who lives in Punta and knew what was best. She is an outstanding person, creative and an incredible professional. At that moment, I knew my wedding was safe. And this was only 3 months before the wedding when I was completely desperate! Monica gave us a full-proof consultancy, she was our eyes and ears in Punta, and made the most elegant and romantic decoration, exactly like I had dreamt! Many of our guests comment up to this date that our flower arrangements were beautiful, the entertainment and attractions were very original, the desserts as spectacular as they are in Brazil but with a Uruguayan touch (another point worthy of mention) and all of this I owe to Monica’s dedication and talent. Besides the above, Monica was unbelievably strategic in several items related to the wedding, helping us find the best alternatives to buy or rent different products in places outside of the tourist traps where we could really find the best suppliers and quality at the most cost effective rates.
